It’s been a while since I posted an update, but here’s the rundown on what I’m working on right now:
In a kinda-super-secret-but-but-really project, it's almost time to move on from carriages and horses to Formula 1! Because why not? Sarah Honey and I have plans to return to Aguillon some time very soon, but first from us you'll be getting the Bad Boyfriends series, which is set in contemporary Australia - complete with a glossary of Aussie English courtesy of our publisher! And JA Rock and I are finishing up the Lords of Bucknall series as we speak, and then we're heading to contemporary rural USA... and some kink and angst we think you're gonna love! I've already made the book trailer for that one. Look at me! I've gone mad with ambition! And I have big plans for Dauntless, which will involve unpublishing it, adding to it, and then republishing it as the first of a seven part series. I'm so excited to go back to that island of oddballs. But yes, it's a busy few months coming up, and I can't wait to share more with you. An Affair for Aumont, the fifth book in The Lords of Bucknall Club series, is out not!
Aumont is a cynical, world-weary, alcoholic French spy. And Darling is the morally upright stone in his shoe. These two have absolutely nothing in common, except maybe they fit together just right. Also includes: a sheep with a taste for hats, the art show of the Season, and I can't believe it's taken us five books to get to a duel!! Buy it here at Amazon. Only for Ollie is out now! You can find it here at Amazon.
Releasing a book is always a bit of a scary time, even though I've done it a bunch of times before, but the first reviews have been overwhelmingly positive, and I'm just so delighted that people are loving awkward, chatty Ollie and Xander "For the love of all that is holy, use your goddamn words" Finch. These two are definitely opposites attract, and it's got nothing to do with the fact that Xander is rich and Ollie is living in his car when the story begins. It was a lot of fun watching Xander realise there was more to life than racing, and that maybe a talkative, slightly klutzy massage therapist was exactly what he needed. Xander Finch is a top-ranked MotoGP rider, desperate to get back to the circuit after an injury. He’s going stir-crazy in his parents’ house in Ventura while he works on his recovery. Xander has tunnel vision when it comes to his sport—it’s all he’s ever wanted to do in life. When he hires a massage therapist to help speed up his recovery, he’s not expecting the guy to completely flip his universe on its head.
Ollie Baker is living in his car after a disastrous break-up, and jumps at the chance to earn some extra cash through massage. Xander Finch might be hot as hell, but Ollie’s not going there. He’s never going to let some rich guy screw him over again. Besides, Xander’s straight. Isn’t he? When their friendship deepens into something more, Xander discovers that Ollie makes him feel a way that nobody ever has before, and maybe motorbikes aren’t his only passion after all. Navigating Xander’s newly discovered demisexuality isn’t the only challenge they’ll have to face if they’re going to be together, because Ollie’s been burned before. It’s hard for him to trust Xander, to believe that he’s really willing to make room in his life for Ollie as well as his racing—assuming he recovers enough to race at all. Only for Ollie is the third book in the Star Crossed series, where regular guys meet famous ones, and sparks fly. Order it here on Amazon. Because of Ben, the second book in the Star Crossed series, is out on January 7th. I can't wait for you guys to read all about Ben and Marco, and I hope you love them as much as I do. I never set out to write a rockstar romance, and while Marco is most definitely a rockstar--with the attitude to match--most of this book is set in a hotel in Dayton, Ohio, where Marco's path crosses with that of Ben, a young guy on a Faith Conference. Ben is catnip to Marco--he's hot, he's pretty, and he's shy. And Marco is everything that Ben wants, but shouldn't. But maybe what happens in Dayton stays in Dayton, right? Wrong, Ben. So, so wrong! You can preorder Because of Ben here on Amazon. A Sanctuary for Soulden, the fourth book in the Lords of Bucknall Club series, is out now!
He wasn't meant for a quiet life. Philip Winthrop, Viscount Soulden, is a fop. An idle popinjay with nothing more on his mind than how to best knot his cravat. He definitely doesn’t spy against the French. Or arrange hasty weddings. Or occasionally commandeer the navy. And he certainly doesn’t seek out mortal danger in order to combat his pervasive ennui. It’s all just a big misunderstanding when he’s shot by a French intelligence officer during a merry riverside chase. And what a wonderful bit of quick thinking to pretend to be a corpse in order to get himself taken to the local surgeon's autopsy cellar. The French will never find him there. If the French are even looking for him. Which they’re not. Now he just needs to locate a way out before this surgeon fellow attempts to dissect him. He'd rather deal with the dead than the living. Surgeon Edmund Fernside does his best to heal the living, but in truth, he'd much rather look into the gaping chest cavity of a corpse than into the startling blue eyes of a...corpse that just climbed off his autopsy table. Well then. Lord Soulden is clearly a man with some complicated secrets. But with the French in hot pursuit and a rather brutal gunshot wound, Soulden’s not going anywhere anytime soon, and Fernside discovers that he enjoys the pleasure of his company. In more ways than one. Now, trusting each other could mean the difference between life and death. As Soulden learns to be still for the first time in his life, Fernside wonders if perhaps it’s time to spread his wings a little. They can only hide from the outside world—and from their pasts—for so long before the secrets they’ve uncovered about each other strain the growing attraction between them. Each man must decide whether a life of comfortable lies is preferable to one full of difficult truths. And whether the sanctuary they’ve created together is something worth fighting for. A Sanctuary for Soulden is the fourth book in the Lords of Bucknall Club series, where the Regency meets m/m romance. The Lords of Bucknall Club can be read in any order. You can find it here on Amazon. I'm excited to let you know that A Husband for Hartwell is out in audio now, and available from Audible. It's also whisper-synced, so you can pick it up for cheaper if you already have the ebook.
Cornell Collins does an amazing job with Hartwell and Warry, and I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I did! You can find it here at Audible. Not Until Noah, the first book in the Star Crossed series, is out on November 5. This was a fun one to write, and I got to reminisce about all the school holidays I spent on the Gold Coast, at my grandparents' house. The house is no longer there, unfortunately--it's a block of high-rise apartments now--but I'll always have those wonderful memories of the Coast, and that old house, and of sunlit days at the beach that seemed to last forever. Carter Westlake is on the brink of being Hollywood gold. Cast as the lead in a highly-anticipated sci-fi trilogy filming in Australia, he’s primed to be the next A-list action hero: all-American, hot as hell, and straight. The problem is, Carter can only check off two of those boxes. But that’s okay—his bisexuality can remain a secret until these movies are behind him.
Childhood educator Noah Jones has a plan. Work as a nanny for six months, make some extra cash, and move to the UK to teach. He doesn’t expect his new boss to be a Hollywood star. And he certainly isn’t prepared to fall for the guy. One kiss sends them tumbling into a secret relationship, even though they both agree it can be nothing more than a fling. Carter needs to stay in the closet for the sake of his career, and Noah’s leaving. But when their feelings continue to grow into something deeper, Carter has a decision to make. Knowing that exposing his sexuality could cost him his career, would he rather carry on living a lie, or risk it all to stand tall in his truth? Not Until Noah is the first book in the Star Crossed series, where regular guys meet famous ones, and sparks fly. You can preorder it from Amazon. |
